Abstract In modern high resolution optical systems like astronomical telescopes or lithographic objectives, performance degradations can be caused by various disturbances. Holistic system simulation is required to predict the precision systems. this paper a method for transient dynamical-thermal-optical modeling and introduced. Thereby, elastic deformation, rigid body motion, mechanical stresses due dynamical excitation are calculated using multibody temperature changes determined thermal finite element analysis. The mechanically thermally induced stress index then considered in gradient-index ray tracing. Finally, presented applied dynamical-thermal single lens system.
